The term encompasses variousdifferent waste materials, which include but are not limited to:ALUMINIUM DROSSALUMINIUM SALT SLAGSALUMINIUM SKIMMINGSSPENT CATHODESSPENT POTLINERCHARACTERISTICSANGLE OF REPOSE BULK DENSITY (kg/m 3 ) STOWAGE FACTOR (m 3 /t)Not applicable 1220 0.82SIZE CLASS GROUPNot applicable 4.3 BHAZARDContact with water may cause heating with possible evolution of flammable and toxic gases suchas hydrogen, ammonia and acetylene.This cargo is non-combustible or has a low fire-risk.Fire is unlikely but may follow an explosion of flammable gas and will be difficult to extinguish.In port, flooding maybe considered, but due consideration should be given to stability.STOWAGE & SEGREGATION“Separated from” foodstuffs and all class 8 liquids.HOLD CLEANLINESSClean and dry as relevant to the hazards of the cargo.WEATHER PRECAUTIONSThis cargo shall be kept as dry as practicable.
