We design and manufacture consumer products with the safety of you,our valued customer foremost in mind. In addition we ask that you exercise a degree of care when using anyelectrical appliance and adhere to the following precautions:Read all instructions before operating and save forfuture referenceEgg cooker coverSteaming traysfor poaching eggs, cooking omelettesand steaming vegetables• This appliance is for household use only. Do not usethis appliance for other than its intended use.Do not use outdoors.• This appliance is not intended for use by youngchildren or infirm persons without supervision.• Do not leave the appliance unattended when inuse. Young children should be supervised to ensurethat they do not play with the appliance.• Do not touch hot surfaces. Operating your <strong>Breville</strong> Egg CreationsBoiling eggsPoaching/omelettesSteaming vegetablesUp to 7 eggs can be boiled at one time.Maximum egg size that can be used is 70 grams.Note1. For soft, medium or hard boiled eggs, fill themeasuring cup with cold tap water to thedesired level.HardBoiled Eggseggs ml1 - 1002 - 903 - 804 - 705 - 606 - 507 - 40Med/SoftBoiled Eggseggs ml1 - 552 - 503 - 454 - 405 - 356 - 307 - 25Fill the cup with water to the line along sidethe number of eggs you are cooking.(The number along side the measuring linesindicates the number of eggs to be boiled).Pour the water into the heating base.Less water is used when cooking more eggs.The amount of water used may have to beadjusted to allow for variations in temperatureand size of eggs.2. Pierce the blunt end of the egg using thepiercing needle on the underside of themeasuring cup base. Piercing the egg preventsthe egg shell from cracking during boiling.3. Place the egg tray onto the heating base andposition the eggs on the egg tray.4. Place the lid on the Egg Creations and insert theplug into a 230/240 volt power outlet and turnthe power on. Press the ‘On/Off’ switch to ‘On’.It will illuminate and the water will be brought tothe boil.Allow the Egg Creations to cool down forapproximately half an hour before reusing.Note5. The buzzer will sound when the eggs are ready.Press the ‘On/Off’ switch to ‘Off’. Turn thepower off at the outlet, and remove eggs fromthe egg tray.For best results when poaching and making omelettesuse the 2 large steaming trays.1. For 1 or 2 poached eggs/omelettes fill themeasuring beaker to the ‘medium number 1’level. Pour water into the heating base.2. Position the egg tray on the heating base.3. Grease the steaming trays with butteror margarine.4. Break an egg into each of the 2 larger trays(or pour in omelette mix) and place trays ontothe egg tray.5. Place the lid on the Egg Creations and insert thepower plug into a 230/240 volt power outletand turn the power on. Press the ‘On/Off’ switchto ‘On’. It will illuminate and the water will beginto boil.6. The buzzer will sound when the eggs are ready.Press the ‘On/Off’ switch to ‘Off’. Turn the poweroff at the outlet, and remove eggs/omelettesfrom steaming trays.1. Fill the measuring beaker to the ‘mediumnumber 1’ level. Pour water into theheating base.2. Position the egg tray on the heating base.3. Place vegetables into the steaming trays andposition the trays onto the egg tray.4. Place the lid on the Egg Creations and insert thepower plug into a 230/240 volt power outletand turn the power on. Press the ‘On/Off’ switchto ‘On’. It will illuminate and the water will beginto boil.5. The buzzer will sound when the vegetables areready. Press the ‘On/Off’ switch to ‘Off’. Turn thepower off at the outlet, and remove vegetablesfrom the steaming trays.Note67


Care and cleaningRecipe1. Always turn the power off and remove theplug from the power outlet before cleaning theEgg Creations.2. The lid, boiling tray, steaming trays andmeasuring cup can be washed in hotsoapy water.3. We do not recommend any parts of the <strong>Breville</strong>Egg Creations be cleaned in a dishwasher, as thehot water temperatures and harsh detergentsmay cause parts to ultimately warp or discolour.4. The egg cooker body can be wiped over with adamp cloth.5. Any chalk deposit on the heating base can beremoved by placing a cloth immersed in whitevinegar on the (cold) boiling plate and allowing itto stand for 10 minutes.Omelette1 egg lightly beaten,1 onion, peeled and chopped1 slice ham, finely chopped1 small tomato, finely chopped1 tablespoon grated cheesepepper to taste1. Combine all ingredients well.2. Grease the 2 large steaming trays and pourmixture into both.3. Cook as directed for poaching/omelettes.2DO NOT USE CHEMICALS, STEEL WOOL OR HARSH ABRASIVES TO CLEAN THE NON-STICKSURFACE OF THE EGG COOKER.89
