If thewindow is visibly dirty, or if the scanner isn’t operating well, clean the window witha soft cloth or lens tissue dampened with water (or a mild soapy water solution).If a detergent solution is used, rinse with a clean lens tissue dampened withwater only.The base and scanner’s housing may also be cleaned the same way.! Caution:Do not submerge the scanner in water. The scanner’shousing is not watertight.Do not use abrasive wipes or tissues on the scanner’swindow – abrasive wipes may scratch the window. Neveruse solvents (e.g., alcohol or acetone) on the housing orwindow – solvents may damage the finish or the window.Inspecting Cords and ConnectorsInspect the base’s interface cable and connector for wear or other signs ofdamage. A badly worn cable or damaged connector may interfere with scanneroperation. Contact your Hand Held Products distributor for information aboutcable replacement.
