Der findes forskellige metodertil at reducere dugtens dimension:- Trække gennem ruller (Compacting)- Trække gennem dyser (Dyform)- Hamre (Hammering)I enkelte tilfælde udføres compacteringen først, når ståltovet erslået. Herved bliver kun den yderste del af ståltovet compacted.De forskellige metoder giver ikke helt samme kvalitet. Some of these special steel wire ropes arenow part of our standard product range.- Compacted Steel Wire Ropes- Cable lay Steel Wire Ropes- Low rotation and rotation resistant Steel Wire Ropes- Coated Steel Wire Ropes- Combination Ropes- Clad wire Ropes- CobraCompacted Steel Wire RopesIn compacted steel wire ropes the strand’s dimensions arereduced (compacted), Fig. 19. before the actual laying ofthe steel wire rope. There are different ways of reducing thedimension of a strand:- By drawing between rollers (Compacting)- By drawing between dies (Dyform)- By beating (Hammering)In some cases the compacting process is only carried out afterthe steel wire rope has been laid. In this instance only the outerpart of the steel wire rope is compacted. The various methodsdo not all produce the same level of quality. In the opinion ofFyns Kran Udstyr A/S, the best quality is achieved by drawingthe strands between rollers, after which the laying process iscarried out. Compacted steel wire ropes have greater abrasionresistance and tensile strength than corresponding noncompactedsteel wire ropes.Cable Laid Steel Wire RopesIn a cable laid steel wire rope the strands consist of a 6-lay steelwire rope with WSC (e.g. 6x7 + WSC or 6x19 + WSC).
