IBU EVENT AND COMPETITION RULES 312.5.2 Official InvitationNot later than September 1 of the year preceding the WCH, the OC mustsend the official invitations approved by the RD to all IBU NFs <strong>and</strong> to theIBU headquarters. NFs that require a special invitation for visa purposesmust request them from the OC.The OC must circulate detailed information to all IBU NFs <strong>and</strong> to theIBU headquarters. The Invitation must provide detailed information inaccordance with the Organizers’ Guide.Invitations may be sent in electronic form by e-mail <strong>and</strong> by placement ona website with notification by e-mail.12.6 PARTICIPATION12.6.1 Quotas – WCH12.6.1.1 Maximum Registration <strong>and</strong> EntriesEach NF in good st<strong>and</strong>ing will have the right to register a maximumof eight male <strong>and</strong> eight female competitors <strong>and</strong> to enter four male<strong>and</strong> four female competitors in the Individual <strong>and</strong> Sprint <strong>competition</strong>s.Additionally, the NFs of the Individual, Sprint <strong>and</strong> Mass Start championsof the previous year’s OWG or WCH will be granted the right to enterthose competitors at the WCH Individual, Sprint <strong>and</strong> Mass Start<strong>competition</strong>s respectively, in addition to their NF’s quota.12.6.1.2 Pursuit CompetitionsThe top 60 competitors from the qualifying <strong>competition</strong> will be entitled tostart in the Pursuit <strong>competition</strong>.12.6.1.3 Mass Start CompetitionsThe Mass Start <strong>competition</strong> entries consist of 30 competitors,determined as follows: the top 15 from the WC total score plus anymedal winners that are not among the top 15 in the WC total score,then the remaining competitors will be filled in from the points theyhave acquired in the Individual, Sprint <strong>and</strong> Pursuit <strong>competition</strong>s of theWCH being held, in ranking order. Start numbers will be assigned in theorder as follows: the gold medalist of the first personal <strong>competition</strong> ofthe WCH will receive start number 1; the gold medalist of the secondpersonal <strong>competition</strong> will receive number 2; <strong>and</strong> the gold medalist ofthe third personal <strong>competition</strong> will receive number 3, with the silvermedalists of the personal <strong>competition</strong> receiving start numbers in theIBU RULES 3-73
