The flags mustbe placed so that the top edge of the flag is at the same level as thebottom edge of the targets <strong>and</strong> cannot obstruct a direct line of sight tothe targets.3.4.7 Rifle RacksDuring <strong>competition</strong>s there must be racks for two reserve rifles for eachparticipating team. The racks must be clearly marked with the names ofthe participating nations or teams. A minimum of 30 racks holding sevenrifles each must be provided for use during training <strong>and</strong> zeroing. Before<strong>and</strong>/or after the range there must be an adequate number of racks fortraining.3.4.8 Video Cameras on RangeAt all IBU <strong>competition</strong>s, video cameras must be installed on the shootingrange in sufficient number so that the placement <strong>and</strong> number ofcameras totally covers <strong>and</strong> records all actions of all competitors on therange.3.5 FINISH AREA3.5.1 GeneralThe finish zone begins on the <strong>competition</strong> trail at the finish line <strong>and</strong>ends at the finish equipment/materials <strong>and</strong> clothing inspection point. Itmust be at least 30 m long <strong>and</strong> 9 m wide without obstruction. The last50 m before the finish line must be straight <strong>and</strong> 9 m wide, <strong>and</strong> dividedinto three equal lanes with markers that do not interfere with skis. Onlyofficials, finishing competitors <strong>and</strong> specially authorized TV personnelunder supervision of the Start/Finish IR are permitted in the finish zone.3.5.1.1 The finish line must be marked by a sunken red line in the snow at aright angle to the incoming trail <strong>and</strong> clearly visible to the competitors<strong>and</strong> broadcasters’ cameras.3.5.2 Finish Equipment/Materials InspectionThe finish equipment/materials inspection must be located so thatfinishing competitors flow into it automatically <strong>and</strong> can pass through itunder supervision. This is particularly important for Relay <strong>competition</strong>sso that finished competitors do not obstruct the outgoing trail from theh<strong>and</strong>-over zone. The finish zone fencing <strong>and</strong> placement must be setIBU RULES 3-41
