In extraordinary circumstances or if<strong>competition</strong>s are held in the evening, the deadline for submitting theentry of participants will be determined by the RD/TD.c. Entries in the Pursuit <strong>competition</strong> are not required as all competitorswho qualify for the Pursuit in the qualifying <strong>competition</strong> are assumedto be entered. Names of qualified athletes who will not start in thePursuit <strong>competition</strong> will be reported to the <strong>competition</strong> office as soonas possible <strong>and</strong> at least two hours before the start.d. Entries for the Mass Start <strong>competition</strong> are not required asqualification is based on current WC total score <strong>and</strong> at WCH onprevious <strong>competition</strong>s. Names of Athletes qualified for the Mass Start<strong>competition</strong> must be confirmed by a signed, written form presentedto the <strong>competition</strong> office as soon as possible <strong>and</strong> at least two hoursbefore the start. The numbers of competitors that may be entered ina <strong>competition</strong> are stated in the <strong>event</strong> <strong>rules</strong>.e. Entries in the Super Sprint (qualification <strong>and</strong> final) <strong>competition</strong> willbe based on an invitation from the OC. The OC <strong>and</strong> the IBU will jointlydefine the system of qualification.f. The OC must provide a current weather forecast 30 minutes beforethe entry deadline so that the teams will have the latest informationfor preparing their entries.1.5.3 Registration ProceduresRegistration must be sent in writing, by post, fax, email or via the onlineregistration system, to the address indicated in the invitation before thedeadline. For all IBU <strong>event</strong>s, registration must be made by the NF. Forthe OWG, IOC regulations apply.1.5.4 Late Entriesa. The Race Director (RD)/Technical Delegate (TD) may approve a lateentry due to extraordinary circumstances before the draw.b. The <strong>competition</strong> jury may approve a late entry after the draw due toforce majeure. The <strong>competition</strong> jury will decide what position(s) thelate competitor(s) will start in. A separate draw may be used for thispurpose.1.5.5 Replacement of Entry - Force MajeureIf an entered competitor cannot start due to force majeure, anotherregistered competitor may take his place, but not later than 30 minutesIBU RULES 3-17
