<strong>SkyView</strong> <strong>System</strong> Settings for SV-COM-425Network SetupSV-COM-C25 <strong>Installation</strong>, Configuration, and TestingAs with all other <strong>SkyView</strong> Network devices, the SV-COM-C25 must be configured into the<strong>SkyView</strong> Network. Go to SETUP MENU > SYSTEM SETUP > NETWORK SETUP > CONFIGURE > (right click) >DETECT (button). The SV-COM-C25 will be listed as SV-COM-PANEL.COM RADIO SetupTo adjust Squelch, Sidetone, and Microphone GainGo to SETUP MENU > COM RADIO SETUPo SQUELCH LEVEL – Adjust squelch level so that the audio is heard duringtransmissions, and muted when transmissions are not present.o SIDETONE VOLUME – Adjust for your personal preference of how muchmicrophone audio is heard in the headset when transmitting.o MIC GAIN – The default setting of 30 should work for most installations. If otherpeople report that your transmissions fade off at the end or can't be heard at all,you may need more mic gain. If your transmissions are reported to sound"hollow", "robotic" or if they have a lot of background noise, less mic gain islikely needed. Follow the instructions in this menu to find a value that works foryour installation. Also note these issues can only be heard on real transmissionsby third parties. The sidetone you hear in your own headset is completelyunaffected by Mic Gain.Displayed COM (Top Bar)The status of one COM radio can be displayed on the top bar. The radio that is selected here isalso the radio that you can send airports and frequencies to via <strong>SkyView</strong>’s Map Menu APT>COMand TUNE COM buttons. See the <strong>SkyView</strong> Pilot’s User <strong>Guide</strong> for additional details.Go to SETUP MENU > SYSTEM SETUP > DISPLAYED COM and select which COM radiostatus to display on the Top Bar (or none). (To display status of a non-<strong>Dynon</strong> <strong>Avionics</strong>radio, a serial port connection must be installed FROM the radio TO the <strong>SkyView</strong>display(s).Post <strong>Installation</strong> ChecksGround1. Do all SV-COM-C25 buttons and knobs function normally?2. Does the (optional) FLIP/FLOP pushbutton swap the STBY and COM frequencies?3.
