System PlanningIn order to provide the most reliable airspeed (and therefore attitude) performance, DynonAvionics STRONGLY RECOMMENDS the installation of a heated pitot probe in aircraft equippedfor IFR to prevent loss of airspeed data due to icing.Location RequirementsSV-D1000 and SV-D700Observe the following guidelines when choosing a location for a SkyView display:Displays require about 2.4” (61mm) of free space behind the panel, depending onmounting surface thickness. The SkyView Display Harness (SV-HARNESS-D37) extends about 3” (76mm) from theback of the display.Add one inch beyond the physically required volume for the display’s heat sinks and fansto operate.Avoid placing the display near heater vents or any source of extremely hot air.The display should be easily viewable without any obstructions.Displays have no internal inertial sensors and do not need to be mounted in the sameorientation as the ADAHRS or other modules.Displays only support a landscape viewing orientation; do not mount in portraitorientation.SkyView systems support up to three displays.SkyView System Installation Guide - Revision O 2-5
