V. COMFORT ADJUSTMENTSSeat RotationThe power elevating seat is equipped with a swivel feature that allows the seat to be turned 90 degrees to whichever sidethe controller is located.To use the swivel feature:1. Locate the friction lock lever under the seat. See figure 5.2. Pull back on the friction lock lever and rotate the seat 90° to whichever side the controller is located.3. Push the friction lock lever forward to lock the seat in place.WARNING! Do not attempt to drive the power chair with the seat facing to the side. Always returnthe seat to the forward facing position before operating the power chair.Anti-Tip WheelsThe anti-tip wheels are designed to give your power chairincreased stability on rough surfaces. The anti-tip wheelsare preset at the factory for smooth surfaces or indoor useonly. If you plan on using your power chair on rough surfaces,it may be necessary to adjust the anti-tip wheels tobetter suit your needs. The anti-tip wheels may need adjustmentif the following occurs:! When coming to a stop, your power chair tips forwardexcessively.! The anti-tip wheels constantly rub the ground.WARNING! Consult your authorized <strong>Pride</strong>Provider before attempting to change theanti-tip wheel height! Changing the anti-tipwheel height affects handling under acceleration!ANTI-TIP WHEELBOLT ABOLT BFigure 26. Anti-Tip Wheel AssemblyWARNING! The higher you raise the anti-tip wheels, the more you increase your power chair’stendency to tilt forward while decelerating. You can compensate for this by having your authorized<strong>Pride</strong> Provider make a small adjustment to the pre-programmed deceleration setting in thecontroller or by moving the seat assembly farther to the back of your power chair.PROHIBITED! Do not remove the anti-tip wheels.NOTE: Each drive tire must be inflated to 35 psi (2.4 bar) if equipped with pneumatic tires. The user must alsobe seated in the power chair in order to properly adjust the anti-tip wheels.To adjust the anti-tip wheels:1. Loosen bolt A. See figure 26.2. Remove bolt B.3. Raise or lower the anti-tip wheel. Each hole is 0.50-in. (1.27 cm) apart.4. Reinstall bolt B.5. Tighten bolt A.6.
