The mold sealingdiameter has been designed to use a common mold for bothplug and receptacle in a given shell size.SealingIn a mated condition, the red visual matingindicator band must be fully concealed bythe plug coupling nut to assure to reliable,pressure rated sealed joint. Failure to fullytighten the coupling nut may allow leakagethrough the main joint seal.
