NEW GOLD IS COMMITTED TO BUILDINGSTRONG PARTNERSHIPS WITH FIRST NATIONSThe <strong>Blackwater</strong> <strong>Gold</strong> <strong>Project</strong> has alreadyhired 26 First Nations employees as campattendants, labourers, environmental monitors,geotechnical assistants, lab technicians andcore cutters.In partnership with the BC Aboriginal MineTraining Association, <strong>New</strong> <strong>Gold</strong> provided50% funding for a Drill Core Technician/FieldExploration program put on by NorthwestCommunity College. A number of graduatesfrom this program may be hired into CoreCutter and Exploration Field Assistant roles at<strong>Blackwater</strong>.Members of L’hooskuz Dene, Ulkatcho,Saik’uz, Nazko, Kispiox, Kitselas, Kwadachaand Lake Babine First Nations, as well as Metispeople are currently working on the <strong>Blackwater</strong><strong>Project</strong>.10GROWING NEW GOLD RESPONSIBLY
