The seed kernel is rich in phosphorus (68.4-165 mg / 100g), potassium (273-<br />

610 mg / 100 g) and magnesium (17-118 mg / 100 g) (Table 2.9). The<br />

macronutrients, calcium, magnesium, potassium and phosphorus, however,<br />

were low in comparison with o<strong>the</strong>r cultivated legumes (Bhattacharya et al.,<br />

1994).<br />
