<strong>MetaXpress</strong> <strong>PowerCore</strong> Software <strong>Installation</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>User</strong> <strong>Guide</strong>Viewing Error H<strong>and</strong>ling Preferences <strong>and</strong> Log FilesViewing ErrorsError h<strong>and</strong>ling preferences determine the number of times the<strong>MetaXpress</strong> <strong>PowerCore</strong> Software tries to analyze a work unit or siteafter an error is encountered. Preferences also determine thepercentage of work units that can fail before an entire job is marked ashaving failed.In addition, error h<strong>and</strong>ling preferences specify the location of the logfiles that contain job processing details. You can use the information inthe files to troubleshoot errors encountered during job processing. Anew log file is created each time the <strong>MetaXpress</strong> <strong>PowerCore</strong> serverapplication starts.To view the <strong>MetaXpress</strong> <strong>PowerCore</strong> Software error-h<strong>and</strong>ling preferences<strong>and</strong> log file location• In the <strong>MetaXpress</strong> <strong>PowerCore</strong> server application, click Edit >Preferences.For information about preferences, see <strong>MetaXpress</strong> <strong>PowerCore</strong>Server Preferences on page 89.The Errors page in the <strong>MetaXpress</strong> <strong>PowerCore</strong> server application showsinformation about job errors encountered since the <strong>MetaXpress</strong><strong>PowerCore</strong> server application was started. When the application isclosed, the entries on the Errors page are removed.
