Overview and RequirementsAbout Firewalls and Antivirus SoftwareFollow these guidelines when working with firewalls and antivirussoftware:• Avoid having firewalls between MetaXpress PowerCore serversand clients. MetaXpress PowerCore ServerInstallation and Configuration2IntroductionPrerequisitesTo use the MetaXpress ® PowerCore Software, you must install andconfigure a MetaXpress PowerCore server as described in this section.The MetaXpress PowerCore server connects to the MDCStoredatabase to retrieve analysis jobs, it divides those jobs into work units,and it distributes the work units to MetaXpress PowerCore clients forprocessing.You can install and configure more than one computer as a MetaXpressPowerCore server to increase your analysis capability or toaccommodate test and production needs. MetaXpress PowerCoreservers can share a single license key USB device, and you specify thenumber of processes available to each server.
