The vehicle was parked on solid flat level ground. The end of a flat bar was placed on the
ground parallel to the centre of the front road wheel and the bar raised until it came into
contact with the vehicle frame. The angle between the ground and the bar, the approach
angle was then measured using a clinometer. This process was repeated for the
