Motivation and opportunity of the professional master “MEA”:The automobile industry is often called the industry of the industries. In fact, theautomobile industry is the driving force of the economies of the developed countries. It is thefirst investor in the world in the domain of research and development and employs more than20% of the world labour force.In Tunisia, for example, the branch of manufacturing spare parts is a holding sector atthe level of our socio-economic scene with the presence of more than 120 export-orientedcompanies employing more than 16.000 persons. The diagnostic and maintenance of thevehicules sector takes up an important place in the car industrial fabric.The objective of the “Mechanical and Electronic Automobile” professional Master(MEA) is to train specialists in the domain of mecatronic automobile. The professionalopportunities are numerous such as maintenance workshops for vehicules, car dealers,vehicules technical checking, vehicules technical checking centers.More over, the multidisciplinary training provided in this master helps to encouragethe creation of companies mainly in the automobile maintenance sector. Indeed, the Tunisianautomobile fleet continues to grow (more than 120000 cars), including vehicules increasinglyat the top of technology which requires a highly skilled staff to intervene and who are asversatile in the mechanical as in the electrical and electronic branch.The training in the professional Master MEA will be based not only on the experiencesgained in the training of engineers in ENIS (in electromechanical and electrical engineering)but also on the ongoing research and vocational masters in ENIS and particularly themechanical masters, the engineering and the electronic ones. The expert involvement in thissector will be of great importance in the success of this training.Objectives of the professional Master “MEA”:Virtually no high level training university to mechanical and automotive electronicsgives the professional Master “MEA” the reference structure. It is in this context that thetraining provided will fill up the short fall in highly skilled managers in the automobile field.The formal training, the experts intervention and the systematic training coursesoffered by this master will all contribute to this goal.In the term of his studies, the professional master’s graduate will be able to: Control the technology development work of various mechanical components andelectronic vehicules. Engineering diploma A four-year university degree High-specialized studies certificateCandidates holding scientific degrees may exceptionally be accepted.Supervision of the professional Master MEA:The aimed high level teaching tries to be both conceptual and close to the reality of theworld of business. For this reason, the pedagogical staff of the professional master comprises: Academics from Engineering schools Academics from the higher Institute for Electronic and communication of Sfax Academics from the higher Institute for technological studies of Sfax. The formation of the professional Master Mechanical and electronic Automobile“MEA” comprises 360 teaching hours in form of modules of 20 hours each. The course ofstudies comprises: A common teaching including the module of corporate culture, the telecommunicationmodule, the C2I module (organized exclusively at distance), the sustainable development,management of the quality and innovation plus the English module of the preparation for theTOEFL. Mini-project work, personalised work, seminars x factories visits.All the modules last 20 hours and will be organised into 4 sessions of 4.30 hours each. Inaddition, an assessment of 2 hours in form of exams and personalised work organisedexclusively on Saturdays morning.
