all the season’s productions and extra hours required for Youth Performances,EMPLOYER will provide a Free Day (9 AM – 5 PM) after all productions haveopened and prior to the end <strong>of</strong> the season. The above time compensation shall notexempt EMPLOYER from overtime compensation outlined below in Section IIIParagraph 3. Any additional main stage performances shall be compensated foron a pro rata basis, i.e. one-seventh (1/7 th ) <strong>of</strong> their weekly contractual salary.(c) The number <strong>of</strong> Studio <strong>Artists</strong> engaged by the EMPLOYER may notexceed the number <strong>of</strong> Guaranteed Apprentice <strong>Artists</strong> in any performing season.3. REHEARSAL CONDITIONS(a) During pre-season rehearsal weeks, there shall be no more than six (6)hours <strong>of</strong> rehearsal scheduled daily and compensated by the weekly salary.(b) All Apprentice <strong>Artists</strong> shall have a five (5) minute break within each hour<strong>of</strong> rehearsal and/or training. Breaks may be combined to equal fifteen (15)minutes after ninety (90) minutes <strong>of</strong> rehearsals but under no circumstances mayan ARTIST rehearse more than ninety (90) minutes without a break.(c) Rehearsals during performance weeks shall be limited to: three (3) hourson performance days, six (6) hours on non-performance days.(d) There shall be no rehearsal scheduled on a day in which two (2)performances are given. There shall be no more than a maximum <strong>of</strong> six (6) hours<strong>of</strong> rehearsal per day and thirty six (36) hours per week.(e) Any hours that exceed these daily and/or weekly limitations shall becompensated at the rate <strong>of</strong>:SUMMER OF20073%SUMMER OF20083.5%Hourly Rate $17.61 $18.23 $18.96SUMMER OF20094%(1) Apprentice classes, rehearsals for Opera a la Carte, Face on theBallroom Floor and Youth Performances are not included in the weekly ordaily hours outlined above; however, Apprentice <strong>Artists</strong> may not be calledfor costume fittings, coaching sessions, rehearsals or ARTIST service <strong>of</strong>any kind required by the EMPLOYER before 10 AM.(2) In addition, with the exception <strong>of</strong> the six hour daily limitation andthe thirty six hour weekly limitation, all work conditions herein apply toFace on the Barroom Floor and Youth Performances.10
