Bismillahir Rahmaanir RaheemAa’maal <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>month</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Rajab</strong><strong>Rajab</strong> is <strong>the</strong> seventh <strong>month</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Islam</strong>ic calendar.It is a sacred <strong>month</strong> declared by Allah swt.Many Aa’maal have been given to us by <strong>the</strong> holy Prophet and <strong>the</strong> Imams(peace be upon <strong>the</strong>m)It is <strong>the</strong> <strong>month</strong> <strong>of</strong> favours, benefits, reverence and sanctity.Fasting in this <strong>month</strong>, even one Fast, earns great reward.It is a <strong>month</strong> <strong>of</strong> receiving <strong>for</strong>giveness.In this <strong>month</strong> “mercy descends from <strong>the</strong> heaven like gentle rain”Recite Istighfaar (100-400 times or more) in this <strong>month</strong>: “Astagh-firulla-hal-ladi laa ilaaha il-la Hu. Wah’dahu laa shareekalahu waa-toobu ilaih”.I ask <strong>for</strong>giveness <strong>of</strong> Allah; <strong>the</strong>re is no god save Him, He has no partner, and I turn to Himrepentant.Recite this many times in this <strong>month</strong>: Laa ilaaha il-lal-laah (There is no god except Allah)Recite this one hundred times or more during this <strong>month</strong>:Subhaanal-ilaahil-jaleelGlory be to God <strong>the</strong> MagnificentSubhaana man laa yam-baghiyut-tasbeehu il-laa lahGlory to him, besides whom none deserves to be glorifiedSubhaanal-aa’zzil-akramGlory to <strong>the</strong> possessor <strong>of</strong> honor and generositySubhaana mal (n)-labisal-I’zza wa hua lahu ahlHe is clo<strong>the</strong>d in honor and He is most deserving <strong>of</strong> it.Pray two Rakaat Salaat every evening. In each Rakaat: Recite Surah Al Faatihah once, Surah Al Kaafiroon 3 times, and SurahAl Ikhlaas one time. Recite this Dua after completing <strong>the</strong> Salaat:
“Laa ilaaha il-lal-laah, wah-dahu laa shareeka lah,Nabiyil-um-mi wa aalihi.”There is no God save Allah. He is one and has no partner.Lahul mulk, wa lahul hamd, yuhyee wa yumeet,To Him belong sovereignty, and to Him (alone) belongs <strong>the</strong> praise.He gives life and death,wa hua hay-yun laa yamoot, biya-dihil khair,He gives life and death, and He is ever living and (suffers) not death,in His hand is (all) good,wa hua a’laa kul-li shai-in qadeer, wa ilai-hil-maseer,and He is able to accomplish all things, and to Him is <strong>the</strong> return.wa laa-howla walaa quw’wata il-laa bil-laahil-a’lee-il-azeem.And <strong>the</strong>re is no one mighty and powerful except Allah, <strong>the</strong> Exalted and most High.Al-la-hum-ma sal-li a’laa Muham-madin nabiyil-um-mi wa aalihi.”O’ Allah, send blessings on unlettered prophet and his family.The following Dua has been taught by Imam Ja’far as-Saadiq [A.S.]to be recited everyday in <strong>the</strong> <strong>month</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Rajab</strong> after <strong>the</strong> daily prayers.Yaa man arjoohu li-kul-li khairHe, from whom I expect every good,wa aa'manu sakha-tahu In-da kul-li sharrAnd in whom I look <strong>for</strong> safety from His anger from every evil (that I do)Yaa man yu'til-ka<strong>the</strong>era bil-qaleelHe who gives much (in return) <strong>for</strong> a little (in good deeds)Yaa man yu'tee man sa-a’ lahO He who gives what is askedYaa man yu'tee man lam yas-a’lhO He who gives even what is not asked <strong>for</strong>
Wa man lam ya'rif-hu tahan-nu-nan minhu wa rahmaAlthough He (Allah) is not remembered: kindness and mercy isalways shown by himAa' tini bi-mas 'a-lati i'y-yaaka jami 'a khai-rid-duniya wa jami 'akharil- aakhirahGrant me with your knowledge, all good in this world and all good in <strong>the</strong> hereafterwas-rif an-ni bi-mas 'a lati iy-yaaka jam-ee-a'a shar-rid-duniyawa' shar-ril- aakhirah.And with Your knowledge, avert from me <strong>the</strong> evil <strong>of</strong> this world and<strong>the</strong> evil <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> hereafterFa in-nahu ghai-ru man-qoosin maa a'tai-taBecause surely what you grant never decreasesWa zid-nee min fad-lika yaa kareemAnd increase <strong>for</strong> me (goodness) from Your Grace,O’ GenerousThen Imam would hold his beard (or chin), move his finger <strong>of</strong>Shahaadah from side to side, weep and say this:Yaa zal jalaali wal-Iqraam, yaa zan-na'maa'i wal-jood, yaa zal man-ni wat-ta'ul,har-rim shay-bati a’lan-naar.O’ owner <strong>of</strong> Majesty & Honor, O’ owner <strong>of</strong> Bounties & bestowal, O’ Owner <strong>of</strong> Blessings & Power,<strong>for</strong>bid <strong>the</strong> fire on my beard (self)May Allah swt guide us to per<strong>for</strong>m His I’baadah, to gain His good pleasure andachieve His nearness.
