COPYRIGHT POLICY
It is the intention of Everest to strictly enforce a policy
of zero tolerance for copyright violations and to comply
with all applicable laws and regulations. Any student
who engages in the unauthorized distribution of copyrighted
material, including unauthorized peer-to-peer
file sharing, is subject to sanctions under the Code of
Student Conduct. Additionally, a person found to have
committed a copyright violation may be liable for up to
$150,000 for each separate act of infringement, and
may be subject to criminal prosecution. A person may
be held liable even if he or she was unaware that they
were violating the law.
Everest strives to provide and maintain an
environment free of all forms of harassment. Behavior
toward any student by a member of the staff, faculty or
advances will be dealt with quickly and vigorously and
will result in disciplinary action up to and including
dismissal. Any student who believes that he or she is a
victim of sexual harassment should immediately notify
the office of the School President. The School
President will conduct an investigation of all
allegations. Information surrounding all complaints
will be documented and kept strictly confidential.
SANCTIONS
Sanctions should be commensurate with the nature of
the student’s conduct. All sanctions imposed should be
allowed to attend class for a specific period of time.
Satisfactory completion of certain conditions may be
decision of the Student Conduct Committee.
