C A M P U S I N F O R M AT I O NCAR/VAN POOL PARKING REGULATIONSAny vehicle parking in any Car/Van Pool parking stallwithout a visible Car/Van Pool parking permit issued bythe Public Safety Department may receive a citation.Car/Van Pool parking permits are valid ONLY in designatedCar/Van Pool parking spaces.In order for a vehicle to park in a Car/Van Pool designatedspace, the vehicle MUST display a valid Car/VanPool parking permit and a valid, student parking permit orvalid daily parking permit, as well as have a minimum oftwo (2) occupants in the vehicle when it is parked.Car/Van Pool parking permits are valid only for thedriver(s) and vehicle(s) listed on the application.It is a violation of law to copy, duplicate, manufactureor otherwise reproduce Car/Van Pool parking permits aswell as a violation of the Student Code of Conduct.Violators may be arrested and prosecuted for forgery andtheft pursuant to California Penal Code sections 470 and484, as well as face immediate student disciplinary action.Car/Van Pool parking permits may not be transferredor loaned to another person or another vehicle that is noton the application. If a person displays a valid Car/VanPool parking permit issued to another person or vehicle,that vehicle is subject to a citation. The Car/Van Poolparking permit will be seized and a report will be forwardedto the Vice President of Student Services for a violationof the Student Code of Conduct. The seized Car/Van Poolparking permit will not be returned to the person(s) whoapplied for the permit.RIDE SAMTRANS TO SKYLINESamTrans provides bus service along several routesto the Skyline College campus. SamTrans informationspecialists can help you plan your trip for the shortestpossible route: Call toll free 1-800-660-4BUS or visitwww.samtrans.com. You may purchase SamTrans passesat Skyline College in the Cashier’s Office, Building 2,Student Services Center. All SamTrans buses are wheelchairaccessible. Frequent riders receive a discount ontheir rides by using tokens or a monthly pass.SamTrans Routes 121, 123 and 140 provide weekdayservice to Skyline College. Route 121 starts at Lowell andHanover streets, then serves the Daly City BART Station,Colma BART, Seton Medical Center, Serramonte, Fair -mont and Westview on its way to the college. Route 123originates at the Colma BART Station and serves stopsbetween Metro Center, Serra Center, Serramonte andKing Plaza on its way to campus. Route 140 delivers studentstraveling from Pacifica (Palmetto and West Manor)and San Bruno BART.Weekend Note: The 121 and 123 lines do not provideservice to Skyline College on the weekends. The 140 is theonly line that provides service to the college on weekends.NON-DISTRICT SPONSOREDTRANSPORTATIONSome classes may be conducted off campus. Unlessyou are specifically advised otherwise, you are responsiblefor arranging for your own transportation to and fromthe class site. Although the District may assist in coordinatingthe transportation and/or recommended traveltimes, route or caravaning, be advised that the Districtassumes no liability or responsibility for transportationand any person driving a personal vehicle is NOT an agentof the District.FIELD TRIP/EXCURSION GUIDELINESThroughout the semester/school year, the District maysponsor voluntary off-campus extracurricular field trips/excursions. If you choose to participate, be advised thatpursuant to California Code of Regulations, Sub chapter 5,Section 55450, you have agreed to hold the District, itsofficers, agents and employees harmless from any and allliability or claims which may arise out of or in connectionwith your participation in the activity.142 w w w.
