The <strong>Skyline</strong> <strong>College</strong> CDC is partially funded by theCalifornia Department of Education and income eligiblefamilies may receive child care subsidies. For more information,call (650) 738-7071.COUNSELING SERVICESThe Counseling Division at <strong>Skyline</strong> <strong>College</strong> isdesigned to assist individuals in all aspects of their developmentas students and help them accomplish theirgoals. Career and educational counseling are emphasized.A counselor can help students establish both shortand long range goals and provide them with informationabout courses and programs that transfer to four-yearcolleges and universities. Counselors assist students indeveloping an individual Student Educational Plan (SEP),which maps out courses that will be taken over a numberof semesters and serves as a guide to achieving goals.126 w w w. Counseling can help students addressand manage personal issues, alleviate distressingsymp toms, make positive changes, and transition intocollege life. All sessions are confidential and provided bylicensed mental health professionals.
