Please find below prices and details for our IANTD, PADI, BSAC, SSI, IART and TDI technical diver programmes.
Please note: we run all our courses as full technical courses. We use manifolded twinsets and stage cylinders on all open
circuit courses; we do not use single cylinders, as there is little advantage to be gained from using them at depth.
Kit rental (with exception of rebreather, and basic dive kit) IS included in the course price.
OPEN CIRCUIT TRAINING IANTD SSI TDI BSAC
ESSENTIALS (Fundamentals)
This course is ideal for Entry Level divers seeking to prepare themselves for Advanced diver training and also Advanced divers
that may want to extend their abilities. Unless you have already done the Essentials (or similar) programme, we guarantee
that you will be a better diver after participating in this course.
The techniques and knowledge learned during this class prepare ALL divers for more advanced diving. It is an excellent base
programme for all levels of Open and Closed Circuit diving in open water and overhead (cave, wreck, ice) environments.
Along with buoyancy, trim and drag we will perfect your propulsion skills like frog kicking, reverse finning and helicopter
turns. You WILL look like a cave diver upon completion of this programme.
This course doesn’t qualify divers for deeper dives, but it is strongly recommended for all divers wishing to increase skill
competency.
This course can therefore be completed using a single tank (we will show you how to configure your rig using a 2 metre
hose), standard twinset, sidemount or CCR. Whatever you dive; we will enhance your skills.
Completion of this programme MAY be used as credit on further training (on certain programmes) in terms of time (and cost)
commitment.
This course can be combined with any other technical diver programme offered by Diving Matrix.
The course focuses on 4 key areas plus in water development:
1. Mental & Physical.
nitrox, oxygen and trimix. Trimix is a specific mix of Oxygen, Helium and Nitrogen. When used correctly it removes the
narcotic effect put on a diver when breathing air at depth. This is a massive bonus for a technical diver. Trimix use is limited
to an O2 content of at least 25%, with a Narcotic Depth no greater than 24 metres and high Nitrox mixes for decompression.
This course deals with planning, kit configuration and execution of decompression dives to a max depth of 48 metres with
max 15 minutes accelerated decompression.
OPEN CIRCUIT TRAINING PADI TECREC
We have priced the TecRec Programmes individually. If you want to be a Tec 40 diver the price is exactly
as it says on the info sheet below. If you want to go straight to Tec 50 and you are a Tec 40 diver for
example, then all you need to complete the Tec 45 diver and Tec 50 diver and each is priced individually.
If you have no tech experience and you want to go straight to Tec 50 diver then you will complete Tec
40, 45 and 50 and each, as with the previous example, course is priced individually. We hope that makes
sense.
TEC 40 *
If you're interested in technical diving, but haven't yet met the prerequisites for the full Tec 50 Diver course, you should
consider enrolling in the Tec 40 Diver course. It is also a sub course of the full Tec 50 course. You will use a single cylinder of
The Intro Cave Diver program is designed to develop the divers' skills to allow diving beyond the cavern zone of cave
overhead environment. It introduces the diver to self sufficiency skills utilising isolation manifold twin sets and dual outlet
cylinders, line following, line laying and emergency procedures. The program can be run as a continuous course in
conjunction with the Cavern Diver program.
Intro Cave Divers are qualified to dive on the main line of caves within the safe limits of their gas supply. Divers trained in the
rebreather safely including understanding rebreather design, oxygen management and control. Divers will also manage basic rebreat
failures, buoyancy, propulsion, trim, drag, bailout scenarios and basic rescue techniques.
This course is aimed at specific units only. It is not a generic CCR programme. We do offer cross over programmes for divers
With that in mind we expand on the knowledge and skills gained in the normoxic programme and head a little deeper. During
the programme you will learn how to use hypoxic gasses (non breathable on the surface) and the associated risks associated
with this practice. We will discuss in much greater detail topics like, inert gas and oxygen theory, decompression theory,

CLOSED CIRCUIT REBREATHER TRAINING PADI
CLOSED CIRCUIT REBREATHER Open Water Diver 18 *
In this entry-level rebreather program you will learn to use Type R rebreathers to a maximum of 18 metres/60 feet within no
decompression limits.
The PADI Rebreather and Advanced Rebreather Diver courses use Type R units to introduce divers to rebreather diving within
recreational dive limits. Type R rebreathers are electronically controlled and provide a back up for all the major systems and
simplify training and use.
All rebreathers used during PADI courses must be third-party tested and manufacturers must ensure they meet a
comprehensive list of requirements.
Because each rebreather model is different, you will need to qualify on each rebreather model. However, once you are
qualified you will not need to repeat the entire course to earn your certification with a different Type R rebreather model.
The PADI Rebreather Qualifier focuses on the knowledge and skills needed to use a different Type R rebreather model.

Everyone wants to try out a rebreather, whether it is to clarify the decision to buy a unit or just to say that you’ve been on
one, this is your opportunity.
We offer several schedules.
Schedule 1 is an all day programme where you will have a full academic and practical overview of rebreathers and how they
work. You will then get to dive at least two different units of your choice. So that all is fair, if you complete a full training
programme with us, we will give you £50.00 back
Schedule 2 is a three quarter day dedicated to one specific rebreather rather than several units. As with schedule 1 you will
receive academic and practical overviews and 2 dives on the unit. Again, so that all is fair, if you complete a full training
programme with us, we will give you £30.00 back
