NEW GENEVA PERSONALIZED SHEET40 TH ANNIVERSARY UNPA GENEVAOn 2 October 2009, UNPA will issue a new Personalized stamp sheet to commemoratethe fortieth anniversary of UNPA Geneva. On 11 December 1968, an agreementbetween the United Nations and the Swiss Postal Telephone and TelegraphEnterprise (PTT) enabled the Geneva office of UNPA to open. The first UnitedNations stamps in Swiss francs were issued on 4 October 1969.The background design features a view of the Palais des Nations in Geneva and animage of the the F.s. 0,75 stamp, which was one of the original stamps issued by UNPAGeneva on 4 October 1969. It was originally designed by Ole Hamann of Denmark.The sheet, in the denomination of F.s. 1,00, features 10 stamps with images of thePalais des Nations, Geneva.The tabs of the stamps feature the UNPA logo and part of the image design fromthe F.s. 0,75 stamp with the text “40 th anniversary” in French.Customers with standing order requirements for Geneva Personalized specialevent show sheets will automatically receive this item through their accounts.
