Sparkplug<br />

To access the sparkplug detach the right side cover (see fig. 1).<br />

Once the cover has been removed, the motorcycle’s electrical system<br />

can be accessed. Carefully but firmly, pull away the hood that<br />

provides current, leaving the upper part of the sparkplug exposed.<br />

Using a special sparkplug tool, unscrew it and take it out from the<br />

right side of the motorcycle (see fig. 2).<br />

The sparkplug should be checked regularly and a spare<br />

sparkplug should be carried at all times in case it comes<br />

off. The sparkplug can accumulate charcoal and<br />

dirt with use. For this reason, it can be removed and<br />

cleaned so that it lasts longer.<br />

Observe the distance between the electrode and<br />

the arch. This distance should be 0.7 mm.<br />

NOTE: The sparkplug should not be handled if<br />

the motorcycle is hot.<br />

To extract the side cover, 1: bend it slightly until releasing one of<br />

the fixing snaps. 2: move the cover laterally, without turning it, to<br />

release the other fixing snap. 3: pull the cover out.<br />
