Save heating costs! Protect environment!
LEBO presented the prototypes of THERMODOOR during the
BAU 2009 fair itself. This development is considered as revolutionary
and perfected and ripe for serial production.
Just imagine once that there is an interior door, which can
separate the heated areas from the unheated areas (for example
living room from hall) in such a way that it saves heating
costs and protects the environment. Is it available? Yes! With
astonishing „U“-values The Research Institute for Thermal Insulation
in Munich tested the heat transfer coefficient „U“ of an
apartment door. The result for the Lebo THERMODOOR Type
43 - with a layer of polyurethane foam - was an astonishing
U-value of 0.84. (The lower the value, the better).
In the course of increasing environmental consciousness
LEBO demonstrates THERMODOOR as well-engineered product
again in BAU 2011.

One should consider even uncomfortable situations in life and
reflect on the nature of hazards that may occur. Therefore spaces
with potential hazard of fire and smoke should always be equipped
with right kind of doors.
LEBO fire protection doors prevent the entry of flames and easily
inflammable gases – thanks to the technical components such as
special insulation layers and automatically lowerable floor sealings.
LEBO smoke protection doors are of similar quality like our smoke
protection doors, whereby a massive entry of smoke is avoided in
particular. The fire and smoke protection features are also available
in combination.
The fireproof closure T30-1-FSA Lebo Type 100 and/or fire- and
smoke proof closure T30-1-RS-FSA Lebo Type 110 were approved
by DIBt in Berlin under the approval number Z-6.20-2001 and can
be installed into various wall construction types such as wall structure,
concrete, aerated concrete or lightweight walls.
Wood enclosure frames and single or double leaf steel enclosure
frames are available.

LEBO presents climate class - III doors
differently
Nowadays the resistance against fluctuating temperatures
or humidity conditions must be guaranteed. Better
heated living areas or a mildly moist bathroom cannot
upset the LEBO door elements – quite the opposite actually:
Such suitability for everyday use is normal standard
for LEBO. No external factor can come close to the
doors.
If these functional doors were plain and boring in the
past, they can now be customised to the environment
and enhance the room through a „comfortable exterior“.
New climate class III models are available for the „country“,
„Formelle“and „Luana“series. More information
about the series available in our complete catalogue!
The climate protection doors conform to RAL-RG 426
requirements.

Something for everybody
The new sic RAL colours are classic but less expressive.
Whether it is bright pure white or a shaded cream or grey
white, all the colours were assessed at the „Customer
Survey“ during „Türentage 2010“ as positive and
marketable and hence accepted into the range
completely.
In addition to RAL colours LEBO also offers pigmentcoated
surfaces („Mixture Anthracite“and „Mixture
Bordeaux“), which especially demonstrate an advantage
in conjunction with the aluminium-coated frames.

Here you can also choose a theme from the LEBO
collection or use your own images and designs. At
present LEBO collection has 14 themes. In particular
children themes can be customised further by adding
names.
The surfaces of the doors are first coated in multi-layer
spray method, then are printed digitally individually and
in the end are covered with clear coat that makes the
surface scratch-proof.

In the fair booth LEBO has presented the entire range of
frames in this year as well. Frames with V-joints available
in „EE“and „RR“are NEW this year. What are the distinct
features? – The frames are:
• Hand lacquered (RAL-colours left side)

• And have visually emphasised mitre.
The white coated frame with V-joint is already integrated in the
present catalogue. The frames with V-joint in Lebolit-surface
(CPL) are the ones, which you still cannot see there in the
catalogue, but can assess „live“ at the booth, We show these
to you with the example of „Lightline“ element in the kitchen.

the business i.e. doors with appealing design, high value-add
and great handling potential. The „Luana“series had convinced
the business already for a long time now and that not only

The original exhibit presented as design draft to a small panel is now going into production. The demand for similar simple door models of the series „Country“ and „Formelle“ was so great
that Lebo has made the decision to accept the „frame doors“ into production. These design classics distinguish themselves through their simple look, but high quality finish. Technical advantage
with the model currently available in the market is that the doors are not plugged from different parts, but are milled. This ensures more stability and avoids unseemly joint formations. Like
other white lacquered doors, these „Classic“models also receive a three-layered lacquering on each side. Their special secret however lies in the timeless form and the optimal fit to any room.

Live like in a country house
Even „cozyness“can be ordered at LEBO
Living in country house style enjoys great popularity. Even if you do not live in a country
house – you can achieve the „Country-Style“in every apartment and in every house.
The editorial department of the trade magazine „UMBAUEN & MODERNISIEREN“
picked up the topic „Focus Kitchen“ and accompanied the renovation phase of a
single family house photographically.

In order to design the kitchen modern, but livable after the renovation phase, a door
model of the „Country“series from Lebo was selected for the connection between the
kitchen and the hall.
The model „Country 40“was – customised to the kitchen – was used in white lacquer.
Satined glass with discreet window bar ensures additional brightness in the room.
The door models of the „Country“series are – just like the country style – unique,
timeless and versatile thanks to different designs. All the five available models of the
series are available with or without light aperture. In addition to six different colour
lacquers, which are applied in three coats on each of the door, different structured or
coloured glasses can also be selected. Accents can be used with profiles.

Thereby LEBO places high emphasis on quality and used only raw materials from famous
manufacturers. Each material and product undergoes strict and sequential
quality checks before it reaches the customer. Quality made in Germany.

The “Branchentag” is considered as top event
of the wood industry. In addition to the congress program, „Woody Award“was
awarded as honour for to TOP companies end of 2009, which have innovations to
offers in domains such customer wins, customer loyalty, innovative products and
sustainability strategy. The door manufacturer LEBO from
Bocholt could compete against famous competitors in
the category „innovative products“with the door model
„Alrik“and win the 1st prize.
The experimental character of the door with option of
milling the openings uniquely and to change the slide-in
modules ensures that the door can be customised to
requirements and customer preferences. The Alrik door
can also be bearer of themes, information or style. The
modules can be made of clear or coloured glass, sheets
with CPL, HPL or veneer coats corresponding to the
furnishing style. Even seasonal themes such as bands or
season-dependent themes can be considered and

Especially in the commercial domain, but also in the
private living spaces names, logos and icons are added
to the door. The solutions available at present such as
signages or self-adhesive applications do not always
offer an aesthetic variant to the customers.
As the requirements and demands from the
customers can be different, LEBO wanted to provide a
solution that is „custom-made“for each customer.
Presented as prototypes during the „Türentage 2010“in
Bocholt and unanimously evaluated as a marketable
innovation by the trade community, the doors are now
available in the latest catalogue as series „custommilled“.
By using a CNC milling machine it is possible for
LEBO to convert each vectorised data for a CAD
program and to mill it directly into the door.
In the commercial domain the respective logo of the
company, the names of the employees or the function of
the respective room (e.g. discussion room) can be
applied.
For hotels room numbers can be milled into the doors.
But the technology is interesting even for private
households. From floral ornamentation or other
decorative elements, to names of the children up to
naming of the individual functions of the room (kitchen,
WC, bath) LEBO can offer appropriate solutions to the
customer.
It is left to the end consumers to choose pre-defined
patters and fonts from a collection or to convert own
design – every vectorised file can be processed. In
comparison to the variants mentioned in the beginning
the milling lends a certain value to the product through
its three-dimensional look. This is further emphasised
through a three-layered lacquer on each side of the
door.

With genuine wood veneer they have distinguished themselves already in the „Quirin“series
– the „cross” doors.
Now the series is extended with doors with robust Lebolit premium surfaces, to do justice
to all domestic and commercial areas where high mechanical and hygienic requirements

The surfaces Lebolit PREMIUM Cross Oak Raw Effect as well as Lebolit PREMIUM Cross
Cherry Tree Romana represent the trend for kitchen, furniture and floor manufacturers for a
long time now and are therefore available as upright variants in the comprehensive LEBO
range.
For the trade they are very interesting due the demand to be expected, but also due to the
high value-add.
With the two cross designed variants, which are available in two more model series („Luana

What is actually „Lebolit“?
The Lebolit surfaces (CPL) are high-resistant, wear-free and easy-to-maintain
coatings, which can be used in all the private and commercial areas. Due to
the material properties Lebo laminate doors are ideal for people allergic to
household dust.
The surfaces waterproofed with melamine resin are applied to the base for
CPL (CPL = Continuous Pressure Laminate) in a two-layer process. Through
this it is possible to simulate three-dimensional wood structures which are not
inferior to the original in any way. Even in close-up doors of the new laminate
generation can hardly be differentiated visually and haptically from the genuine
wood doors.

leukaemia
Have you already thought
about saving a life?
As Karoline Wolf saw images of
a leukaemia patient on the television,
she did not hesitate for long
and wanted to help. She had
herself typed with DKMS (German
Bone Marrow Donors Database)
and also convinced the
family members, friends and acquaintances
to support DKMS in
their search for new donors by
having themselves typed.
In October 2010 she asked her
the then employer about the
possibility of company-wide typing.
More than 20 employees
answered the call and had themselves
typed through cheek
swabs.
The costs of 50 Euro per person
was borne by Lebo GmbH.
For this a hearty thank you to
the management of Lebo
GmbH.
Information about DKMS:
DKMS German Bone Marrow
Donor Database GmbH was
founded in 1991 from a private
initiative and has developed to
world’s single largest database in
a very short time with more than
2 million registered donors. Every
day at least ten patients receive
stem cells from the DKMS
donors.
In spite of this positive development
for every five patients who
need stem cell, one still does not
get a suitable donor. Declared
objective of DKMS is to find a
suitable donor for every patient
by extending the database.
After an initial support by the
Federal Ministry of Health and
German Cancer Support, DKMS
is financially left on its own since
the end of 1994 for extending
the database. The acquisition of
new donors has been financed
exclusively through private and
corporate donations ever since.

free time was enjoyed outside
in nature in the past, children
of today spend lot of time
with their computers.
Whether it is meaningful or
not is discussed often by the
families, pedagogues and
experts. Certainly the
computer at home offers
both advantages and
disadvantages for the
children. So not only
computer games are played,
but computers are used to
search for information about
special topics and for school
work as well.
It is however clear that the
motor abilities of many
children are not well
developed as it used to be
earlier.

„Handicraft work with wood“.

Already 14 kindergardens
showed interest.
Employees of Lebo travel
once a week to these
kindergardens and implement
small wood projects in 3 to 4
visits as per children’s
wishes. Thus handicraft
capabilities of the children are
once again emphasised and
children are brought closer to
the material „wood“.
For environmentally
conscious handling of the
natural raw material Lebo
GmbH has decided to use
remaining wood from its own
production.
The „little ones“do not really
care about this when it
comes to their projects. They
have in getting into the
“creative” worlds and express
their creativity in hammering,
sawing and gluing.
