<strong>IGETC</strong> <strong>VICTOR</strong> <strong>VALLEY</strong> <strong>COLLEGE</strong> 2013-2014INTERSEGMENTAL GENERAL EDUCATION TRANSFER CURRICULUM (<strong>IGETC</strong>)For information on preparing for your major, visit www.assist.orgOBJECTIVE: Completion of all the requirements in the Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (<strong>IGETC</strong>) will permit a student totransfer from a community college to a campus in either the California State University or the University of California system without the need,after transfer, to take additional lower-division general education courses to satisfy campus general education requirements.EXCEPTIONS: All campuses will accept <strong>IGETC</strong> except UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business and UC San Diego's Roosevelt and Revelle Colleges.Also, <strong>IGETC</strong> is not recommended for science, engineering, or other high unit majors at most campuses. These students should follow thegeneral education pattern of the specific campus which they plan to attend.
