Terms & Conditions AVAILABILITY: Items from our catalog may be reserved on paid orders for Fall shipment (Sept. through Oct.) until supplies are exhausted. We will not make substitutions without prior approval. PLANT QUALITY: All roots will have 3 to 5 eyes and adequate storage roots for healthy plant growth. GUARANTEES: We guarantee your satisfaction upon arrival and that the plant will be true to name. If you are not satisfied with the root you receive, contact us within 7 days for a replacement or refund. If the flower on your plant is not what you think it should be, make a photo of the flower and send it to us right away. If you lose your plant in the first year, contact us immediately and we will try to help you figure out what happened and discuss possible replacement. We do not guarantee that your plants will live and grow well for you because there are too many factors beyond our control, however our goal is satisfied customers. The Fawn $21.00 The rare beauty of this mid-season peony comes from its delicate looking petals that have the appearance of pink parchment suffused with tiny rose colored dots. Strong 34-inch stems are impeccably appointed by clean medium green foliage. Truly a plant that should be in every peony collector’s garden. B.B. Wright New for 2012 Limited Quantity Walter Faxon $19.00 This peony has a vivid pink petals with a luminous intensity that is unique among peonies. The flowers are just medium in size and only slightly fragrant, but clearly outshine other pink doubles in a vase. The plant is very floriferous, with good 28-inch stems and foliage that remains green throughout the growing season. Richardson, 1904. Ann Cousins $20.00 Magnificent white, double blooms that are very large and feature an exquisite rose-like fragrance. This 30” tall plant flowers reliably, especially for one so late in the season. It’s a vigorous grower, but the heavy flowers need support. Cousins, 1946 New for 2012 Virginia Mary $23.00 Provides the early peony garden with some of the first double deep pink peonies. The plant is a vigorous grower and that vigor shows through in the prolific numbers of flowers it will provide for viewing in the spring garden and in a vase as an excellent cut flower. Seldom offered. Pfeiffer, 1932. Westerner $15.00 One of the most popular Japanese form peonies. Its large medium pink guard petals surround a large center of bright yellow staminodes. The flowers have good substance and are borne up well on long 36-inch stems. It was awarded the American Peony Society’s Gold Medal in 1982. Bigger 1942 New for 2012 Brother Chuck $25.00 This is a white cut flower classic. The plant is more compact than many, topping out at about 28 inches, but its blooms are large and nicely formed. The petals have good substance and often carry a blush of pink upon opening. Carpels at the center of the bloom are green and that same hint of green can show up effectively on the outer guard petals. Klehm Limited Quantity Vixen $18.00 A striking peony that commands attention because of its vivid pink color and unusual form. The deep pink guard petals are echoed by the same color of petaloides at the center of the bloom where a fringe of contrasting yellow stamens makes the colors pop.The plant flowers in the midseason on 26-inch stems. Krekler/Klehm 2012 APS Peony of the Year Limited Quantity Amalia Olson $23.00 A medium height peony with gorgeous pure white double blooms that are medium to large in size. The flower features good fragrance and petal substance. Stems are sturdy. A great all-around peony that stands out in the landscape or in a vase. Blooms in mid-to-late season. Olson, 1959 New for 2012 Casablanca $23.00 This is one of the largest of the pure white doubles. Huge, elegantly formed flowers stand atop sturdy 40-inch stems that are covered from the ground up in opulent, green foliage. This late season bloomer is also delightfully fragrant.
