Big blooms, more like those of tree peonies, open yellow gold and feature red flares around a center of light green and cream. The color remains strong even in bright sunlight and the bloom is prolonged up to 3 weeks by side buds. The lemon-like fragrance is heavenly. Flowers begin to open midseason and are held up well out of the distinctive green leaves on 27-inch stems. These are large divisions from field-grown plants cultivated on their own roots. As a result they are much more vigorous than the tissue-cultured plant offered by some other nurseries. $65.00 each U.S. Postage PAID Spooner, WI Permit No. 28
