The Hoval Belaria ® heatpump can make this energy available for use in the home. The techniqueworks even at low temperatures, down to about -15°C.However, at low temperatures the heat pump works less efficiently, andduring periods when the outside temperature is low the need for warmthis especially great. Therefore air to water heat pumps are generallyequipped with a small supplementary heating unit, which serves to dealwith periods of peak demand.
