3. Complete Stages 2, 3, and 4 of the generation process: Run Stages 2, 3, and 4 ofthe views generation process. During Stage 4 of the regeneration of views,NoetixViews Administrator will detect the previous settings and give you theoption to reuse them in the current generation. Settings include role prefixes andNoetix query users. To use the existing settings from the database, select Yes onthe displayed wizard page. Do not select No unless directed by Noetix TechnicalSupport, or if you want to replace the role prefixes and query users in the databasewith the ones saved in the tupdprfx.sql, tupdqu1.sql, and tupdqu2.sqlfiles in the NOETIX_SYS user directory. For more information about the stagesof the generation process, see Option 1: Generate Using NoetixViewsAdministrator in “Generation of Views.”CAUTION: Please note that if you change a role prefix, any reports written againstNoetix views within that role will break. Also, changing the multi-currency optionduring a regeneration of views impacts reports written against the views for OracleProjects. For information, see Changing the Multi-Currency Option WhileRegenerating Noetix Views.NOTE: If any errors are detected in Stage 4 of the Noetix views regeneration, theNoetix Help File will not be regenerated. As a workaround, after completing Stage 4 ofthe Noetix views regeneration, you must first run the ifix4sts.sql script to override Stage4 errors, and then manually regenerate the Noetix Help File. The ifix4sts.sql script islocated in your NOETIX_SYS user directory (by default, :\ProgramFiles\Noetix Corporation\NoetixViews\Installs\).4. Run the listchng script (optional): This will create a file showing differencesbetween your previous and new generations.start listchng.sqlThese changes will be contained in the listchng.lst file.5. Regenerate answers (when using Noetix Platform): You will need to rerunNoetix Answer Builder. After successfully running Noetix Answer Builder, youmust run Noetix Generator for Noetix Platform—Oracle E-Business SuiteEdition (Noetix Generator) to update your answers, as well as to generate yourquery user data into NQS. Update query tools (if needed): Refer to your query tool documentation to see ifyour tools or their meta-layers need to be updated.
