In the Application list, click an application name. The options are Bill ofMaterials, Cost Management, Enterprise Asset Management, Inventory, MRP,Master Sched. & Capacity, Quality, and Work in Process. After you select theapplication, the corresponding settings appear in the Settings for the application section.2. In the Settings for the application section, select one of thefollowing options:• Derive from Oracle EBS: Click this option to grant access to inventoryorganizations based on the security settings of the <strong>Noetix</strong> query user in theselected Oracle application. This option is available only if the <strong>Noetix</strong> queryuser is of the Oracle E-Business Suite Authenticated User (Type A) type orOracle E-Business Suite Authenticated Responsibility (Type R) type. This isalso the default option for these users. The inventory organizations that theuser has access to are displayed in the Inventory Organizations list. Whenthis option is selected, the data on the list cannot be modified.• Custom: Click this option to grant access to a custom list of inventoryorganizations. After you select this option, the Add button will be available.By default, this option is selected for users of the <strong>Noetix</strong> SystemAdministration User (Type N) and Database User (Type U) types. Forinformation about specifying a custom list of inventory organizations, seestep 3.IMPORTANT: For allowing users to view data from the <strong>Noetix</strong> views for theselected Oracle application, specify all the inventory organizations correspondingto the roles assigned to the users.Chapter 5: <strong>Noetix</strong> Query User Management 155
