Westminster Open Spaces NoiseStudy 2008: Final Report• Seeing vehicles inside or outside the space6.1.8 The data show that whilst acoustic criteria are important elements in a tranquillity score, they are not necessarily defining factors. Identification of tranquil areas can therefore not bemade purely on the basis of noise level or other acoustic criteria.6.1.9 Sites in the study were mostly relatively small with a few large sites. There was an absenceof medium sites and this is likely to influence the findings. Assessments should be made atmedium sized sites. If these cannot be found elsewhere in Westminster considerationshould be given to extending the study to the most similar surrounding boroughs.D121316/R1/0232Scott Wilson LtdMarch 2009
