w h e n f u l l p o w e r i s n e e d e dDESCH Standard Complete Press Driveover 20 years of experienceOver this period of time DESCH has built more than one thousand two hundredcomplete drive units with a torque range from 1.6 kNm to 1600 kNm.Application AreasThe KA replaces the entire spur gear transmission or one transmission stage onautomatic punching machines, eccentric presses and knuckle-joint presses orsimilar machines where the power required by the machine is taken from a fastmovingflywheel. The new DESCH standard complete drives cover a torque range of 16 kNm to160 kNm with gear ratios 4 and 6.The unit which is ready to be installed consists of a single-stage high performanceplanetary gear, a flywheel as power accumulator as well as a pneumaticallyor hydraulically actuated clutch/brake combination.Your BenefitsCompact prefinished unit which considerably reduces assembly time and costs, without the necessity of costs for design and manufacturedesChComplete press drive KASame connection measurements for gear ratios 4 and 6Extremely low moment of inertia, which means- very small braking angle = high level of operational safety- high stroke frequencies = increased productivity- less wear- lower energy costsHigh working capacity at a low number of revolutionsService friendly because of the high level of available spare partsShort delivery times as a result of standardised componentsDesign test certificate issued by the liability associationEnvironmentally friendly! Low noise levelThe press stand can be designed smaller, without any reduction in working capacityof the machine, which means it can be produced at a considerably lower price2

All-in-one-handdesChComplete press drivedesCh Test rig forComplete drivesdesCh Know howDESCH offers you extensive productknow how, starting with planning workright up to the final test run on our moderntest rig.desCh flywheel ModulThe flywheel runs on a hub which transfersweight and running forces directlyto the machine stand.Careful dimensioning of the roller bearingguarantees long service life of theflywheel bearings. Various diametersof flywheels are available for optimumadjustment to your machine.desCh lutex ® Clutch/Brake Combination lKBFor decades now the pneumatically actuatedDESCH Lutex ® -LKB has been successfullyused in press drives thousandsof times all over the world. The allocationof clutch size is based on an airpressure level of 5.5 bar.The LKB complies with the valid safetyregulations.desCh lutex ® Clutch/Brake Combination hKBThe hydraulically engaged DESCHLutex ® -HKB has successfully been usedfor decades in presses, punching machines, shears ore similar machines. The drive is dimensioned by DESCH todetermine the need of pressure, lubricationand cooling oil for your application.Planetary gearbox and HKB are sealedagainst another and can be suppliedwith different oil qualities ( installationexample see page 6).desCh high performanceplanetary GearFor over 50 years DESCH has beenbuilding planetary gears and as earlyas 1984 we were the first to integrateplanetary gears into press drives. Sincethen, they have become a more permanentand tried and tested component ofmodern press technology.Due to the power distribution to severalgears a high torque can be transferredunder tight spatial conditions. Themoved masses are much smaller incomparison to conventional spur gearreducers. This considerable physical advantageallows essentially shorter brakeangles or a considerably more favourableenergy balance under a high switchingfrequency.Form the output side the torque is transmittedvia a tooth coupling which isattached to the driven shaft by meansof a shrink disc. The gear unit has to beequipped with an oil circulation lubricationsystem.3
