The process went smoothly and thedatas were met the requirements completely.N302 Overhaul of Main engineThe overhaul of main engine is a routine stage aftersea trial and directly reflects the operation of internalspares. However, shipyardcaught the plan by orderly coordination and hard work.N185 Warranty of Main engineIt was found that the crank shaft 1# cylinder of themain engine of N185, which came to get repaired, wasbeyond the standard range set by factory. On August 27th,by measuring the gaps of main engine’s crank shafts andall bearings together, shipyard and STX decided to changethe first bearing then re-measure the gaps between themain engine’s shaft crank and the first and the secondbearings and finally made all the data met the demands offactory and received the recognition of ship owners.In summary, the relevant operations of these sixmachines in August brought unprecedented challenges tooutfitting shop, and examined shipyard’ ability.
