The 1907 Club is a monthly prize draw that raises funds for the school, but also gives you anopportunity to win!In the 2009/2010 year the 1907 Club raised £1,000 for the benefit of all our girls. Thank you tothose of you who already take part - I hope that you have been lucky enough to win one of themonthly prizes.If you‟d like to join in please complete the slip overleaf and return it to the school in an envelopeclearly marked „1907 Club‟. If you‟re paying by cheque, please also include your cheque for £12(per number) made payable to HGFSA 1907 Club.Remember, you can have as many numbers in the draw as you like!Thanks again for your support, it is very much appreciated.The HGFSA CommitteeRevised 1907 Club Rules (effective December 2010):1. The name of the draw shall be 'The 1907 Club'.2. The aim of the draw is to raise funds for Hitchin Girls' School.3. Each month the draw will have at least 50 members with no maximum membership.4. Prizes will be awarded monthly at the discretion of the HGFSA committee. The decisions ofthe committee of Hitchin Girls' Friends of School Association shall be final and binding inany matter requiring adjudication.5. Each person entering the draw will be allocated a number in writing by post or email.6. A register of numbers will be kept and made available for inspection on written request.7. The annual subscription shall be £12 per number payable before the first draw each year (thefirst draw being December).a) Annually at £12 per year by cheque payable to Hitchin Girls' Friends of SchoolAssociation.b) Annually at £12 per year by standing order.8. Entries can be accepted at any time of the year; any received after the first draw for the year(December) will be entered into the remaining draws for that year.9. Each prize will be paid by cheque and the prize winners will be notified in writing.10. The draw may be wound up at the discretion of the committee, outstanding subscriptionsbeing repaid.12. Amendments to these rules will be notified to those concerned within one calendar month.13. The first monthly draw took place on 10th December 2001.14. One prize each month from January to November will be calculated as 35% of 1/12th of thesubscriptions (e.g. if there are 100 members paying £12 each in a year, the monthly prizewould be £35).15. One grand draw will take place each December, with the prize fund set by the committeeeach year.
