Chapter 5 AADvance Functional Safety SystemImplementationField Loop Circuit for Line monitored digital Input for Fire and Gas Control SystemsThe recommended values for R1 and R2 are as follows:R1 = 3K9 ohms 1% (estimated power 0.5W with max power dissipated is 0.128W)R2 = 15K ohms 1% (estimated power 0.5W with max power dissipated is 0.128W)Loop supply voltage = 24V dc (+/- 10%)The recommended threshold values for line monitored digital inputs are as follows:Treshold ID Value (mV)Tmax = 3200T8 = 950T7 = 925T6 = 550T5 = 525T4 = 325T3 = 300T2 = 175T1 = 150These values should be used and will allow the input to detect more accuratelydifferent voltage levels that represent OPEN CCT - OFF - ON - SHORT CCT and willalso detect Over Voltage and an input which is neither ON or OFF.All of the input circuits are suitable for simplex, dual and TMR configurations.
