A list of the released versions isheld by TÜV or can be obtained from ICS Triplex Technology Limited.Internal DiagnosticsThe AADvance controller embodies sophisticated internal diagnostic systems toidentify faults that develop during operation and raise appropriate alarm and statusindications. The diagnostic systems run automatically and check for system faultsassociated with the controller (processor and I/O modules), and field faults associatedwith field I/O circuits.Note: Safety wiring principles shall be employed for field loops if it is necessary for theUser to guard against short circuit faults between I/O channels (e.g. to comply withNFPA-72 requirements). The diagnostic systems report a serious problem immediately, but filter non-essentialitems to avoid spurious alarms. The diagnostic systems monitor such non-essentialitems periodically, and need a number of occurrences of a potential fault beforereporting it as a problem.4-12 Document number 553630 Issue 7: February 2010
