ZTE to Develop Third GenerationMobiles for TelefonicaMovistar to launch new F230 phone this yearTelefonica Espana and ZTE,a leading global providero f t e l e c o m m u n i c a t i o n sequipment and network solutions,have reached an agreement to jointlymanufacture and distribute 3G mobiletelephones for the Spanish market. Thenew ZTE phones will be launched byMovistar during 2007 and will boastthe latest technology and features at ahighly competitive price.Telefonica and ZTE will form ajoint team to work on the developmentprojects and an independent teamwill be formed to develop ZTEproducts in Spain. The first productof the collaboration will be a 3Gphone, called the F230, developed forMovistar by ZTE.Zheng Qi, Director General of theSpanish office of ZTE in Madrid, said:“From a geographical and economicpoint of view, Spain is a key marketfor ZTE.
