Each gives a breif description ofthe legislation and what is required of European companies.• European Parliament and Council Directive 94/62/EC of 20 December 1994 onpackaging and packaging waste (EN13428:2000 2005-02-19)This European standard defines the requirements for manufacturing companies and theircomposition of packaging. The standard ‘amplifies’ the requirements with respect to thereduction of packaging used at the source.
