Applying for TN Govt jobs set to become
more easy
Chennai, April 2:
The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC)
today announced a slew of measures to make
procedures for applying for Government jobs easy for
applicants.
“With the new one-time registration system in place,
one can give data and TNPSC will store basic details
for five years and receive a unique ID. In the five
years, he/she just needs to refer to the unique ID for
the exam he/she wants to apply along with the fee.
There will be no need to take photocopies of all
certificates,” the TNPSC Chairman, Mr R. Nataraj, told
presspersons.
TNPSC also has tied up with Indian Bank and Sify to
enable more than one option for exam fee payment.
“Now applicants can use one of the three options.
They can pay the fee in one of the over 280 post
offices or in one of the 800 branches of Indian Bank or
through their credit/debit cards,” said TNPSC Member
Secretary, Mr T. Udhayachandran.
As the applicant will be feeding in the mobile number
and e-mail ID, he will get an SMS and a mail alert on
the status of his/her application, he said.
The revamped Web site of the Commission
www.tnpsc.gov.in has features and provisions to clear
any doubts and assistance that might arise among the
applicants.
“Judgments by the Supreme Court and High Courts
regarding TNPSC, previous year question papers,
syllabus and over 90 FAQs have also been made
available for the benefit of the users,” Mr
Udhayachandran said.
