Urban TransportCity–TramVienna - U6, AustriaThe Vienna Transport Authority (Wiener Verkehrsbetriebe)commissioned Bombardier Transportation to develop a low-floor City-Tram which is specially adapted to the conditions of the historical linewithout sacrificing any of the comfort of a modern vehicle. The vehiclehas a width of 2,65 m which makes optimal use of the available space.The vehicle entrance areas are level with the platform, even in the historicalstations.A total of 68 vehicles were delivered between 1993 and 1995.In fall 1997 the Vienna Transport Authority ordered further 10 City-Trams from Bombardier Transportation.
