The Awkward Stage3 Fill in the petals with a no. 2 round and a light pink madeof Alizarin Crimson and Titanium White. Add more AlizarinCrimson to the mix to make a darker pink. Use this and a no.2/0 round to paint the separations between the petals. Someof the shadows require a deeper tone, so add a touch ofPrussian Blue to the mix for these.Add Titanium White to some of the background color tomake a light blue and use this to paint the center of the mainflower. Mix a mint green using Prussian Blue, Cadmium YellowMedium and Titanium White; use this to paint the stem.4 FinishAdd various blues, greens and purples into the background by scrubbing thepaint in with a 3 /4-inch flat brush. This allows the colors to overlap one anotherwith subtle edges, similar to a photographer’s background. Detail the flowers bydrybrushing on various shades of pink and white. Dot on brown and pink with ano. 2/0 round brush in the center of the main flower. Add light green details to bothflower centers.
