include qualified members of indigenous cultural communities, and other minority<br />
groups and differently-abled persons for recruitment and selection.<br />
SEC. 53. Kinds and Frequency of Civil Service Examinations. -<br />
Examinations may be written, oral, physical, testimonial based on performance or skills<br />
or a combination of these types. Examinations may take into consideration experience,<br />
education, aptitude, capacity, knowledge, character, physical fitness and other attributes<br />
of the applicant as may be determined by Commission.<br />
The Commissiqn shall administer competitive examinations for all levels in the<br />
career service and graht corresponding civil service eligibilities to passers of the same.<br />
The Commission shall conduct civil service examinations as often as the<br />
exigency of the servicb requires. Civil service special examinations may be conducted<br />
upon request of a particular department or agency, .subject to rules and regulations<br />
promulgated by the Cdmmission.<br />

SEC. 54. Q' alificafions of Applicants to Civil Service Examinations. -<br />
Admission to civil serv P ce examinations shall be limited to citizens of the Philippines who<br />
satisfactdrily meet the<br />

kequirements prescribed by the Commission.<br />
SEC. 55. R ting of Examination Papers and Civil Service Eligibility. -<br />
Unless otherwise prescribed by the Commission, every examinee who obtains a<br />
general rating of at lea$t eighty (80) percent shall be granted civil service eligibility.<br />
SEC. 56. Simultaneous Release of earninafion Results. - The results<br />
of an examination h$d in various locations on the same date shall be released<br />
simultaneously. I<br />
SEC. 57. Regisfers of Civil Service Eligibles. - The Commission shall<br />
maintain a register of qualified eligibles for each category of examination actually<br />
available for appointment. The register shall be the basis for certification and<br />
appointment in the civil service system.<br />
SEC. 58. BAR or Board Examinations as Eligibility. - Successful<br />
examinees of bar or board examinations requiring completion of baccalaureate degrees<br />
or courses requiring not less than seventy-two (72) units of collegiate subjects or its<br />
equivalent as well as those registered under their respective boards to practice their<br />
professions without examinations, shall automatically be considered civil service<br />
eligibles. Their eligibilities shall be effective upon the release of the examination results<br />
or the date of the registration, as the case may be, by the Supreme Court or the<br />
Professional Regulation Commission.<br />
SEC. 59. Effectivity and lmprescriptibilify of Civil Service Eligibility. -<br />
Eligibilities resulting from civil sewice, bar or board examinations shall be effective on<br />
the date of the release of examination results. Other eligibilities granted by the<br />
Commission shall be effective on the date of the grant.<br />
Civil service eligibilities shall be imprescriptible.<br />
SEC. 60. Invalidation of Civil Service Examination Resulfs. - The<br />
Commission shall have the authority to invalidate civil service examination results based<br />
on statistical improbability and other forms of irregularity as determined by the<br />
Commission.
