WebBlocker uses a URL database created and controlledby SurfControl.Searching for Blocked SitesTo see if WebBlocker is blocking a Web site as part of a category block, go to the Filter Testing and Submissionsform on the SurfControl Web site.1 Open a Web browser and go to:http://mtas.surfcontrol.com/mtas/MTAS.asp2 Type the URL or IP address of the site to check.3 Click Test Site.The search engine tells you if the site is on the SurfControl list. You can also request that the URL be added to theSurfControl list.WebBlocker CategoriesThe WebBlocker database contains nine groups of categories with 40 individual categories. A Web site isadded to a category when the contents of the Web site meet the correct criteria. Web sites that giveopinion or educational material about the subject matter of the category are not included. For example,the drugs/drug culture category denies sites that tell how to use marijuana.
