On occasions the amount of ash means you cannot access the Sea of Sandsand Bromo itself but this is rare and impossible to predict.Please note that as with all active volcano's, Mount Bromo (and the surrounding volcano's)does have the potential to erupt. When you get there you will havethe opportunity to have a hot drink and 'hire' a puffer jacket from someenterprising locals for $1-2. Overlooking the mountains, watching the sunrise, youwill experience one of the most awe-inspiring and memorable vistas in the world.If the volcano is not in a dangerous state of activity then you will get the chance toventure in to the old caldera (known as the sea of sands) and climb to the crater ofMount Bromo itself. It is possible to use one of the local horses that your guide willhelp arrange or alternatively you can walk. The distance is approximately 2km andcan get very cold before the sunrises so layer up!Mount Bromo to Malanggroup transferThis morning you will transfer to Malang. For the first 45 minutes the road is windyand steep as you make your way back down the mountain but the views arewonderful.
