The intern, a college student interested ina career in financial services, works with The College andits alumni to learn about the financial services professionand higher education.Bryan Yackulic, now on staff at the College as Alumni RelationsCoordinator, served as the 2011 intern. The summer10after receiving a finance degree from James Madison University,he assisted in both the Alumni Relations and AdvancementDivisions of The American College. Yackulic workedextensively on The Wealth Channel Magazine, assisting withconcept development, communicating with contributors, andmonitoring deadlines to ensure production stayed on schedule.He also created social media plans for the magazine,formulated a marketing plan for Joe Jordan’s book, Living aLife of Significance, created budgets related to KnowledgeSummit and Alumni Tour events, and played a key role in therevamp of The American College’s alumni website.“When I was looking at different internships, I was looking forone that would give me a chance to get my foot in the doorand really prove myself,” said Yackulic. “With the job marketas tough as it is right now, this was a great opportunity to notonly transition from college to the professional world, butalso to get introduced to the financial services industry.”
