Freight Transport Centre (FTC) Komárno belongs to the district ofRegional transportation administration Bratislava. Boundary tariffpoints of this FTC are Lehnice in the west, Hurbanovo in the east andKomárno, the state border, in the south.Tariff points and their occupationThis FTC has in total 14 tariff points, of these 5 are occupied:Komárno, Komárno Danube, Komárno – state border, Hurbanovoand Dunajská Streda. Others are unoccupied: Chotín, Komárnomarshalling yard, Zlatná na Ostrove, Zemianska Olča, Veľký Meder,Dolný Štál, Veľké Blahovo, Orechová Potôň and Lehnice. In occupiedtariff points, 58 employees of this FTC are responsible for commercialactivities related to transportation and 25 employees of train crewcarry out shunting and serviceing tariff points.Border-crossing stationSouthern border of the FTC is actually a border-crossing stationKomárno state border, which is located in Komárom in the territoryof Hungary. Manganese ore and coke are loaded from boatsto wagons,DPT in port Komárno Danube – provides transportations of fuels byrail as well as waterway,SLK in Komárno – transport of sheet metals from the Ukraine for thepurposes of ships manufacture,Heineken Sladovne Slovensko – transport of barley, which isunloaded in Hurbanovo on the private siding and export of malt,Gamex Trading – loads the block trains with maize for export inZemianska Olča on their private siding,Belar – transport of cereals from their own private sidings inDunajská Streda, Dolný Štál and Lehnice,Lesy SR – transport of wood, which is loaded on their own privatesiding in Dunajská Streda,Metrans Danubia – is a carrier that provides most of thetransportations in FTC Komárno, transports Intermodal TransportUnits in block trains to Prague, Koper, Hamburg and other from theirown newly-built private siding in Dunajská Streda.KOMÁRNOTrack sections, locations of loading and unloadingActivities related to transportation are provided by the FTC in thefollowing track sections:Komárno – Chotín – Hurbanovo,Komárno – Komárno state border,Komárno – Zlatná na Ostrove – Zemianska Olča,Dunajská Streda – Dolný Štál – Veľký Meder,Dunajská Streda - Veľké Blahovo – Orechová Potôň – Lehnice.All tariff points in FTC Komárno are equipped with handling tracksto provide loading and unloading.
