Admissions ProceduresWe encourage all students to apply online.Only online applicants will be able to monitor the status <strong>of</strong> their application.Archdiocese <strong>of</strong> Washington Elementary <strong>School</strong> Students(NOTE: Students applying to the Ryken Studies Program must follow the additional procedures outlined on theRyken page. All applicants must take the <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> Placement Test.)1. Students must complete a <strong>Good</strong> <strong>Counsel</strong> admissions application form and submit it to <strong>Good</strong> <strong>Counsel</strong>with a non-refundable $50.00 application fee by Friday, December 14, 2012. Please visit www.olgchs.orgto apply online. We encourage all students to apply online. Only online applicants will be able to monitorthe status <strong>of</strong> their application.2. Students must take the <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> Placement Test in their parochial school. Students who miss the testmust make arrangements with the Catholic <strong>School</strong>s Office at (301) 853-4587 to retake the test.3. e Archdiocese sends choice cards to parochial schools. Students use the card to select two high schools.ese two high schools receive the complete transcript from the student’s elementary school. e transcriptis comprised <strong>of</strong> report cards, all testing results, and recommendations from the Principal and teachers.4. e <strong>Good</strong> <strong>Counsel</strong> Admissions Office reviews each student’s complete transcript when rendering a decision.5. Archdiocesan students do not submit the transcript release and recommendation forms to their school.Non-Archdiocese <strong>of</strong> Washington <strong>School</strong> Students(NOTE: Students applying to the Ryken Studies Program must follow the additional procedures outlined on theRyken page.
