Admissions ProceduresWe encourage all students to apply online.Only online applicants will be able to monitor the status of their application.Archdiocese of Washington Elementary School Students(NOTE: Students applying to the Ryken Studies Program must follow the additional procedures outlined on theRyken page. All applicants must take the High School Placement Test.)1. Students must complete a Good Counsel admissions application form and submit it to Good Counselwith a non-refundable $50.00 application fee by Friday, December 14, 2012. Please visit www.olgchs.orgto apply online. We encourage all students to apply online. Only online applicants will be able to monitorthe status of their application.2. Students must take the High School Placement Test in their parochial school. Students who miss the testmust make arrangements with the Catholic Schools Office at (301) 853-4587 to retake the test.3. e Archdiocese sends choice cards to parochial schools. Students use the card to select two high schools.ese two high schools receive the complete transcript from the student’s elementary school. e transcriptis comprised of report cards, all testing results, and recommendations from the Principal and teachers.4. e Good Counsel Admissions Office reviews each student’s complete transcript when rendering a decision.5.
