Much has been invested in these talksin the last eight years, as Shri N.K. Singh knows. He knows it fromboth sides, being part of the Government, Senior Secretary, PrincipleSecretary to the then Prime Minister. He knows about commerce.Since 2001, much was invested in this Round. India had taken a clearposition to ensure that this Round serves the interests of the developingcountries. I had then said, Sir, that the need was to reenergise and notto reinvent; reenergise the process by using the draft documents,through draft reports on agriculture and NAMA which were submitted inDecember, 2008, but never discussed, never got looked into. There werea number of calls from various world leaders at Summits, whether it wasthe G-20 in London, or the L'Aquila Summit Declaration urging theMinisters to help to take the initiative to revive the process. India talkedto its coalition partners in the developing countries, the G-20, the G-33and the NAMA-11. The Coordinator of the G-20 is Brazil. The G-33,which has made a very useful contribution in upholding our position andconcerns on agriculture, is chaired by Indonesia.
